Beautiful country

Stage 3 is done - it was a tough day, but the heat was abated by a cross wind. We made good progress all day, I was with 4 other riders - the groups are beginning to norm now based on speed of course. I tried to go with a faster group on Stage One but I possibly paid a price that day. Today was much better. Then we hit the final set of climbs - all steep. Reminded me of Kenmore to Glen Quaich. The fact that we had already covered 175 km before the first ascent added to the difficulty. We had 6 climbs to finish our day. Sorry Linda I wasn’t audacious on the Côte de Mutigny and I also didn’t have the presence of mind to photograph the Moet Chandon vineyards. One thing is for sure the steep road must deter unwanted visitors!

Massage and rest tonight important.

You're excused - I can't begin to imagine encountering ascents after 175km!
